Living and Working with Anxiety and Panic

I have been living and working full-time while dealing with anxiety and panic attacks for over 12 years now. I was surprised at first when I found that there were other professionals like myself as well as many people from all walks of life living and working with the same conditions. If you have never suffered a panic attack while caught in rush hour traffic, you don't know what it feels like. But for those who have experienced it in some form or another, you know what I'm talking about. I have thought many a time that I should apply for disability since my illness now recurrs almost daily. Medication is sometimes useless and therin lies the problem. You go to a shrink and this is supposed to help? We are living in a treatment society. Medical community has no vested interest in curing you. I would like to read comments from other who are suffering as well and to know how you are coping. God bless one and all.
